A cookbook for my own kitchen.
I’m interested in healthy food, but I also want to enjoy eating it. I made Second Helping to collect plant-based recipes, work through the details and keep notes on what to change next time.
I’d rather build a small collection I return to than keep adding recipes I never cook. The cookbook currently has seven, including tofu bánh mì, herb falafel, tofu katsu curry and lentil moussaka.
From ingredients to the last step.
Choose a recipe and set the number of servings. The ingredients adjust, and you can add them to a combined shopping list. Cooking mode shows one step at a time, with the ingredients you need and a timer where useful. You can leave and return to your saved step.

Save favorites, write notes or rate a recipe after cooking it. If you hide a recipe, you can bring it back from the deleted list. These changes affect your own copy.
Still in the test kitchen.
Recipes marked “Ready to Test” are proposals waiting to be cooked and tasted. Their flavor profiles are expectations, and nutrition figures are estimates. Sources and preparation notes are included where available. Some images are generated serving illustrations, with labels beside them.
My local version also has an agent that searches the web and prepares new recipes. That tool runs on my computer. The public cookbook contains the published selection; it does not run a research agent for visitors. The app currently mixes an English interface with Slovak and English recipes.
Your notes stay with you.
You can use the cookbook without an account. Favorites, notes, cooking progress and shopping lists stay in the browser you use. They do not sync between devices, and clearing site data removes them. After the first complete load, the cookbook can also work offline.
